A poem in story form of a vampires search for peace.
I love vampire movies.
Night closes in, the rain has stopped
Cloak of darkness needed for him
His search for food, his search for peace
Unending, unending, Only feeding is sure
He roams the streets looking for..what
He is not sure, only knows he is alone
Living for centuries and yet still gorgeous
No scars, no aging, just magical eyes
Heart melting smile...
It's a night like any other, feeding on his mind
When he rounds a corner and runs into her hard
She is falling back but he is lightening quick
Captures her and pulls her near.
Their eyes meet and he gives a nice smile
She is captured that moment
Not knowing into what
Just knows it feels right, her heart beating fast
He feels her pulsing heart
It's quickening beats
He knows he is hungry
But her, she is special,
he sees her soul in her eyes
He has her scent on him, it lingers
As they go about their way he wishes, wishes
Another night of feeding gone by
But tonight he felt something new
Was that peace...that thing he had been searching
all these years through
He could feel her still, her pulse in his fingertips
Another night comes, he is hungry
He takes a new route tonight, looking...
Looking for what, he doesn't know,
He's guided by....He is not sure..
He senses her before she is near
It must of been her he was being guided to
He is sure...
She is walking and upon her comes a man
He grabs her and holds her, she can not scream
To the ground she is thrown
Things are all a swirl, she is frightened
But fights, kicks, bites and struggles
He sees it coming and flies through the air
To her aide in a moment
His fangs out, his eyes glowing
He sees her courage and strength
And he feels pride in his..what...
He yanks the man off and throws him far
She sees this happening but it all seems a blur
Those teeth, those eyes, she must be dreaming
This is not real, real fear surges through her
Still she lays as she watches him tare at her attacker
His strength undeniable, his beauty for sure
She remembers him now
He is the one..the one..
He lifts her gently and carries her to his home
She is frightened yet intriqued and excited all at once
Once there, she gets a glimpse of the man
Not man, creature..no..but what
All she knows is that he is the one
She feels it in her soul, he was meant for her
He tells her a story of how he came to be
With tears in her eyes she holds him
He feels..he feels..
She is the one he knows
Without a thought he makes her his mate
She excepting it willingly
His teeth sunk into her flesh so softly
As he drinks her blood so slowly and passionately
He feels..he feels...It's peace
She has fed him her peace.
Together they will see the moon each night
He has found what he has longed for in his
