Standing alone
Watching as day and night dance on the horizon
I slip into a pool of reflection

My mind is cloudy and I sense a storm brewing
I seem to be lost
Looking for my anchor

Where is my lighthouse
I see the beacon
But I can't seem to get the direction right

Where did this fog come from
I see flashes of red
The lightening streaks across the sky

The thunder fills my head
The rain pelts my face
The wind fills my shirt

As quickly as the tempest strikes
The sun peaks through
The waters begin to calm

I inhale deeply
The sky has become clear
I watch as the Moon fills her dance card

I find the Northern Star
Which helps me to redirect
Slipping out of the pool
I wrap myself
In a moment of clarity

I lay my head down
I feel the soft hand of my wife
Cross over my chest
Peaceful slumber comes quickly
