The rains outside my window
Pattering down on the courtyard
It looks so magical
With the moonlight
Shining on the pond
The black cat is hiding behind the veins
His jade eyes protruding
Between the ivy leaves
The wind shakes loose
The star flowers from our tree
I watch them fall around
My favourite bench
The raindrops fall slowly
As if time has stopped for my eyes alone
The robbin covers its nest
Its eggs safe
Warm
And although the sky is grey
I can still see the stars
So bright
So clear
Yet their is a mist
On the floor
Of our courtyard
So magical
Like an enchantment
And I can see the rain
Wash away our markings
The ones you made
So many days ago
The one you drew a heart around
Before you left
But none of that matters now
Because the door is open
And suddenly you are here
So close
With your arms around me
Holding me close
And your lips find mine
Let me show you
My enchanted courtyard
Let me share it with you
Let this sweet rain wash away one memory
But let this enchanted magic
Help us make another
