Weeping

Hours that swirl about this place,

such a dark and lonely space,

where the poor heart lays abandoned,

'cause of love you swiftly ended.

Youth, that simply slipped away,

earthly vines, now thick and gray.

Ashen ruins lay in waste,

for one sweet and desperate taste,

of a lie...it could not be!

Buried in the muddy ground,

pulsing sounds that beat so loudly,

eerie phantoms crowd about me.

Louder, louder, shrieks the sound.

Cannot rest, relentless pounding,

cannot see, and cannot breathe,

as the sound imprisons me.

Beating, beating, louder still,

cruelest fate has stripped the will,

paralyzed, cannot break free,

All I want to do is SCREAM!
