This poem was written shortly after my father's death which, although expected was very sudden.
We knew you'd comeOne day quite soon,But you arrivedIn the shade and gloom.
He was alone,Nobody knew,No-one was there,Not even the crew.
You took his fight,His warmth, his sigh.You did not warnThat this was 'goodbye'.
