Was she real or just in my imagination...and who was she, if she were there at all?

For My Ear

Out of nowhere
Out of the sea
Came a gentle sound
And a ghost of a shadow
Fell on the ground

She walked the beach
Not touching the sand
Drifting towards me
To hold my hand

It was cool
Yet, it warmed my heart
She seemed distant
But was very near

Close enough
For me to hear
For what she had to tell
Was only for my ear

Then
Like a ghost
From my view
She vanished
In the mist
Writer
