Persistance and hope brings results even during drought.

A drop of water falls on your head;
You wipe it away and say,
'It's raining today,
Oh, what a treasure is ahead'.

It's been dry for months,
Water is scarce in our tanks.
In the South and West
The Bush burns.

The fires ignite a fear in us for the future months,
And the fire of hope for some rain for them,
As well as the fire of love,
For our fellow man.

We hope this crisis will end very soon,
"That it will never reach us -
That the drop of rain you felt at noon
Will become a torrent at last.

Water is precious for life all around:
As a 'dinkum cuppa tea',
Or enrichment for the ground,
Which will nourish us, as bees do the queen.

Now the sun is shining, the air is clear.
It's much cooler than this time last year.
'Rain, rain, don't go so soon,
We need more of you each noon'.

Christmas is near, holidays are in view,
It would be heaven to have you here.
So visit us often, even on this Holy Day,
Because we understand
You would be from Heaven sent.

a precious commodity that we need but cannot buy...only hope for and appreciate when we get it.
