Ageless Hands

Vague sounds of time as they pass by my mind

Tick with every tock of the pendulum

Reviving memories I left behind

Reliving them under life’s momentum

Shadows that prey upon a withered soul

Voices that lay claim to all moments past

Recollections that wish to take their toll

Charge forward to take their bite hard and fast

My dearest old grandfather, turn it back

And see fit to remove the painful stings

I’ll sit here while you turn white from black

A single breath away from childish things

Ageless hands make minutes a memory

Abrading away with death’s emery

While some may find this incredibly sad, I find it as a release to begin the healing process.
We all need to heal after losing one we love, and you've started off with a strong yet gentle breath.
