The Promise of Dawn

I stand in the darkness

With only the light of the moon at my back.

Snow flakes fall gently

Like white fluff scattered from the heavens.

Words breath into my ears,

Piercing my heart with rapture.

A light touch strokes my cheek

And I lose myself to you.

The snow builds.

The darkness fades.

As dawn carries new promise.

Beautiful write...the moon is a wonderful muse as is the stars and the heavens, many mystical tales have evolved from these. Enjoyed this much, great write!

Seems I've been coming across alot of poetry about the moon today, I too wrote one of the moon...and all of them were dark...? I think we are all craving the Spring by now...:)
Great muse!
