You've been gone for so long now, and I'm sure you know
how I miss your voice and laugh, how I miss you so
when you left I lost myself, but I'm back on track
let the past remain the past, I'm not looking back.

Things have changed since you were here, pain has left its mark
took some down a bitter path, left some in the dark
some betrayal, some deceit, some who lost control
some who lived in constant fear, almost lost their soul.

But amidst this list of griefs, things that made us mourn
two bright stars lit up our lives: two new souls were born
each a personality, each with unique charms
each child came direct from you, pried from your two arms.

Somehow I feel you're closeby, that you're standing near
when we stumble, when we fall, when we fail down here
you still whisper in our ears: give it one more try
love that transcends time and space ~ Mother Love from high.

Though your Home's been Jesus-Land since the day you died
we still dwell within your heart, till we're by your side
angels view with wonderment, watching from above
such concerned devotion ~~~ this thing called Mother Love!

~ Connie ~

"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about
with so great a cloud of witnesses,
let us lay aside every weight,
and the sin which doth so easily beset us,
and let us run with patience
the race that is set before us."

(Hebrews 12: 1 KJV)

Connie this most beautiful remembrance goes into my saved. You have brought tears of sadness and joy with this splendid poem of what a mother is as only you could. My emotions have been stirred and I appreciate why. Thank you for sharing!...Eileen

Just beautiful, Connie.
Death certainly leaves its mark, and as
you have written, it affects individuals
differently. Every one of us needs God's
strength in the weakness of the grieving

Sad, but with the joy of knowing where this soul has traveled to, has to make the pain, at least bearable.
