My very days are numbered and my times are in Thy hand
but someone has abandoned me and I don't understand
one day she turned her back on me and simply walked away
and I do not know why because she didn't care to say.

I thought that our two hearts were linked, I thought our friendship true
and I know that she loves You, Lord, the same way that I do
but something caused my friend to change, to cut her heart from mine
if she had reason for it, Lord, I never saw the sign.

My very days are numbered and my times are in Thy hand
and when we're standing Face-to-face within Your Golden Land
could You explain the reason, Lord, the why of what has been
and grant me grace and courage to accept this until then...

please give me strength and mercy to endure this, Lord. Amen.

--Connie

"My times are in Thy hand:
deliver me from the hand of mine enemies,
and from them that persecute me.
Make Thy face to shine upon Thy servant:
save me for Thy mercies' sake."

(Psalm 30:15-16 KJV)

One of the worst feelings in the world is when someone you care for goes silent on you without giving you a reason. I think that is a really terrible thing to do. I've had it done to me and I can't understand how somone who claims to know god can do it.A splendid poem on the topic, Connie!...

Dear Connie, Sometimes it's difficult to understand our fellow human beings. But, whatever the reason of this falling out, thank God for the precious moments then allow Him to open up new blessings in your life. "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." Psalm 30:5 KJV

God Bless

The scripture passage from Connie Faust: "For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him: But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance. We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company. ~ Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved." Psalm 55:12-14, 22 KJV

Oh my God, I know this has happened to me many times. It says in the bible that many are the afflictions of the rightous..Our Lord was crucifed for it..It clearly states it and we shall rise above it Connie for we are chosen to bring light and this is what they don't like..Stand strong, look in the mirror of faith, hope and benevelance..

A lovely prayer Connie. I often think of people who have come and gone from my life...or those I've not kept up with myself. I look for reasons and sometimes there are just none as time and people change. But I've learned that the most sincere are always there, no matter the time or the distance.

Taylor
