This is just too beautiful to describe, so heart felt and real. I know the person you described. My grandmother died one week after my grandfather died, they said that she greived herself to death. They had a love that was inseperable. I take comfort in knowing that they are as you described you father as being the man that you knew before and being whole my grandparents are as well. Great write and beautiful work.
Blessings,

Praise The LORD! What a genuinely beautiful and touching tribute, that acknowledges your father...and your mother, Connie. What a blessing you were given..
I lost my father about 6 months after you...mine was a hugger and a whistler, too...
God bless your heart real real good, Connie.

I can't fathom life without my parents. They have gotten me through all life's hardships. What will I do without them? This I cannot even bring myself to think about! I feel for you that you have lost your parents, what a precious gift you have been given. To be able to express your feelings for them so beautifully.
