dawn filters
through tattered drapes
itrs a golden beam
making every dust particle in its way
so significant
as they sway and gleam
in recognition

every step on the creaking wood below
sings a different tune
tells different tale
screaming the house is stil alive
not with mortals
but their eternal remembrance

you look around
and say its empty
lifeless
but every single nail
that holds it together
has stories of sail
through rough and light weather

quite like myself
this house it seems
is haunted by things
that have long been

every other step on my way
iam reminded of paths
that led astray
flowers once bloomed then withered by day
birds once perched that flew away

lifes a circle
more than once i feel
iam in the same place
same emotions to deal
and as i go around
once more
i know
i've been here before
