as the clear blue sky
is draped in shades of grey
the air around me
no longer rests
in the deafening silence
that had been the way of life for long

the same breeze
whose tender caresses
melted teh hard everyday monotony
now picks up lost memories
and smashes them on my face
with every blow
it hurts , deep down inside

i dont wish to get lost in reminiscence
but it seems they are being forced upon me

as for all the roses i plant in my life
your remembrance is the thorn
found in rife

for all my starry moonlit nights
your remembrance is the cold chill
down my spine

like death
takes away every inch of life
spares not a single heartbeat
a single breath
why didnt you take away
every ounce of your memory
that lays heavy on my heart
and makes every new joy a struggle
