Go ahead, mom, tell me how much you donít love me.
Iíve heard this all before...
Next youíll tell me just how disappointing I am.
Yeah, I know the routine... Go ahead, mom, say it...
Tell me how youíve disowned me
And you wish Iíd just go away..
Iím waiting, mom, say it...
No, I wonít look at you, while you say it,
Cuz Iíd hate for you to actually see someone cry.
Iíve seen you walk out so many times
When someone was crying and needed a friend.
Iím thankful Iím not like that...
What was that mom?
Oh that right, I forgot you want me dead.
Go ahead, mom, point out all the times I disappointed you
And made you look like the bad parent - that you are.
Iím sorry, mom, I canít be like you.
In fact, Iíd rather die than be like you.
Excuse me, mom, Iíve heard enough,
You can start in again next time we speak.
No, mom, donít corner me and scream in my face...
I canít take it right now.
Please, mom, shut up! Damn it, mom, let me go!
Iím sorry, mom, I refuse to look at you, cuz Iím crying now
And I donít want to know that youíve won.
Excuse me, mom, I said, Iíve heard enough...
Itís time for me to go... I need to hang up,
But I know itís no use, cuz youíll call back.
You always call me back and yell at me for hanging up.
As you yell I slice through each wrist,
Hoping to pass out, so I wonít have to hear anymore,
But it never works, Iím always stuck hearing these same words.
Itís time for me to go... I need to leave...
Just drive away, get away from you as fast as I can.
Let the tears fall until I reach my driveway...
Wipe my eyes dry, so no one notices...
Isnít this the right routine, mom?
For some reason I canít bring myself to tell you off,
I guess its because in some way I know
That you hold my life in the palm of your hand.
