The Caterpillar that Wouldn't Change
by Nancy Mure

We have all experienced a moment in our lives when we didn’t want something to change: school commencement, someone to leave us, or a day to never end. Imagine..

Scents

What can be simpler then

knowing that time stands still

when we’re lying in each other’s arms.

Silence,

representing more than words

can ever express.

The scent of your cologne

lingers throughout the house

being a constant reminder

of your presence within my life.

Simple gestures

many take for granted

have been meaningful to me.

In your presence I have no fears.

Expressing myself has never been easier.

I no longer think about the past

nor do I think about the future

for the present moment

we share

can only be accountable forever.

Beautiful. Your writing is as lovely as petals on a rose. Soft, gentle, always from the heart. What more could one ask for in a tender love poem ...

A true declaration of devotion and love. "Scents" leaves the
aroma of love throughout its stanzas.

Keep posting, Poet!
