Journeying into the unknown
masked by mind playing games.
Blocking out all emotions
searching for depth
deep within my soul.

Opening my heart
which I have closed down
for reasons I canít explain.
Closing my eyes
feeling your presence
afraid of my own feelings
for you.

Hoping that you will open your heart
Leaving behind the security
you have grown accustomed to.
Taking a chance
venturing into the unknown
that will bring you true happiness.

Nature changes our perception
of life four times as year.
Falls brings us harvest.
Winter brings snow
to purify us.
Spring helps us grow with
vibrant colors entering our life.
Summer brings us love
the love that I have
and will always have for you.

The most powerful lines in this poem are "Nature changes our perception of life four times as year." It is the reason we can hope through hopelessness...journey into the unknown. Great stuff!

'Blocking out all emotions
searching for depth
deep within my soul.'

This is so true! We block what we feel, then look for depth. What a contradiction in terms. As if it was a safety catch. We are so afraid to let ourselves 'feel'.

I enjoyed reading your poem. Well done.
