Of Human Greed

Isn’t it cruel
That clumsy man,
In his quest for freedom
From earthly rue,
After shamelessly aping
His feathered friends,
(Little realizing
That light-heartedness,
And not light-weightedness
Is a virtue)
Now proposes
To exterminate them
From the vicinity
Of his airports,
So that he may
Take off in peace
And land in comfort?
