Why won't you let go
for I do not know

You claim to believe in the other side
but claw and scratch to hang on to this ride

You pretend to promote happiness
but in hearing from others,
it seems you drove some to madness

You have such a chance
to be kind, soft at your final dance

Instead you make it hard

to decifer why they have remained your friend
Demanding, pushy and perplexing
right to the end

Once your on the other side,
you will bow your head in humbleness and realize
this so called pride
was your dark, ugly side

But that's ok, in every way
for you will be blessed
and wait till the day
you offer your peace
and retire to your final place
