You have taught me many things
Both Good and Bad, Happy and Sad
Some, actually Lessons, others merely Life
To say I learned from all
Would be a Misstatement
But I have taken some away
And now I am at fourth down, the Final Play
I realize after all this Time

You have given, given and Given the most your can
To me, my life and my Path
I have Taken in that one can only provide so much to Another
Regardless of whether friend, sister or brother
I know I have Drained you and a few others too
Just as some have done to Me
I was Warned, as we all are
Time would go Fast, simply a Flash
Some may ask has it All been Dark and Cloudy
No, Absolutely not, in fact the laughs, laughter till I cried Tears of hysterics were with those unexpected
Now and then I still find a Grin
Sometimes even a chuckle down Deep
I Look Back noting we did not produce much
Laughter between Us
The Responsibility you feel in a Long term relationship
precludes you from a Depth of Comedy
Yes, you produce a Laugh, now then and again
And of course, a Grin
But you were Always one to Save
The Laughter and Fun with other Ones
My Love for You is Strong and Deep
Which is why, in your presence, I could Always Sleep
I Always felt Secure and knew I could turn to You
For Safe Keeping
We all have our Strengths
And I have Always known
You Could Not Would Not or weren't able
To keep me at your table Forever
I do not Feel anger, the Sadness has Gone
As I have dreamt of your Smile
As you walk down the Aisle
I Reach to Keep a fingers Touch
Only to know your life is finally Full and Free
