Genuine Heart
by The Poetess (SRP)

I need someone - a genuine Heart
Who has spare money to lose
And is wise and insightful enough
To SEE these deepest truths:

I am in desperate need of help -
Of a safe home and decent job,
A healthy door or fork off of
This dead-end road I'm on.

I also need a miracle -
Peaceful time to heal
From the pain and strife
Of my homeless ordeal,
And a chance to write
My sorted books and songs
In the part of our world
Where I feel I belong.

I don't think I'll last much longer
Unless someone finds the Heart
To offer a kind and honest hand
And let me, from this place, depart.

I need someone - a genuine Heart.
This is real - not just a rhyme.
I'm begging you for help.
And am almost out of time.

Will you help me?

I'm sorry to have to ask,
But feel I must.

I just got a job after 5 months without, so I know part of what you're feeling. I wish I could help, but I have a mortgage to catch up on...or else. I hope you find everything you need and soon. Well wishes from NH. Sorry it can't be more.

This cry for help truly touches my soul...for it was once said of me that if I could I truly would buy the world a coke and teach it to sing. I don't know the situation at hand, but I do know that there are many avenues in which one can travel to reach a desired destination. My late we used to work part time for a shelter for abused and homeless women and we both helped when we could with money and clothes...yet though I am not homeless, I am but a whisper away from being so...Also with the prospect of facing funds are depleted...This does not however diminish my desire to help...let me try to figure out something or some the time being my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Answer Christine's question if you're inclined to or have the energy to and you may well be surprised by the generosity of response. I've little or nothing to offer anyone materially but when I hear a soul in pain I can't remain silent to that.

Count me in.
I got the limited AD membership- saved a few bucks.
Also- somebody blessed me with gifts I should have had all along.
Pay it foward.

I wish I could, my friend. I truly wish I could but I'm sinking deeper still. May even be leaving AD before too much longer. Take care, stay well and God bless.
