First released this in 2003, but felt it is particluarly valid as another Mothering Sunday nears.
T

Where are you Mum, its Mothers Day?

You’ve left us; you’re so far away

Mothers Day joy over the years

Gives way to memories and tears

We’ll visit the spot where you lay

Leave some flowers and walk away

We’ll sit quietly and reminisce

And silently blow you a gentle kiss

The years we had you as our Mother

The times we laughed, and cried, with each other

Those years are what keep us strong

You’re in our thoughts each daylong

Just because you’re not here now

It doesn’t mean you’ve gone somehow

Each day to us is Mothers Day

God keep you well, is all we pray
