Print Save Become a Fan
Within my heart are many portals,
Behind each is the sins of mortals.
Belonging to me exclusively,
Hidden by me conclusively.
He knocks softly yet persistently,
Longingly, lovingly insistently.
He will never leave nor depart,
For He has anointed all my heart.
I keep these doors so tightly locked,
Fearing somehow He’d be shocked.
One by one His patience wins out,
Proving His love beyond all doubt.
He looks inside each door to see,
He smiles and then He embraces me,
It cleanses me, this wondrous love,
This love I am undeserving of.
For His eyes always find my beauty,
As transgressions (no matter how ugly)
Disappear thru confession’s absolution,
His love being the perfect solution.
I am His joy and His precious jewel.
I am His servant pliant to His rule.
He is my King, and all of my ecstasy,
Without Him life would cease to be.
