Broken Trust

I once had a trust,
I thought was so strong,
But when put to the test,
Was broken like bone,
When I tried to mend it,
It would not heal,
Because one end was bare,
The other was jagged,
And no matter how much I tried,
They just wouldn’t fit,
There is one good to all this bad,
A lesson I learned,
That forever changed my life,
A trust can be as strong as steel,
But as fragile as glass,
And once broken,
It can never be mended.
