Tribute based on his poem "GRIEF"
Where does my strength come from, that I am strong?
It wells from deep within, an eternal spring.
It fills my heavy heart with a joyous song.
Refreshing my spirit; a withered thing.
It overflows and nurtures my weak mind.
As rain from heaven renews a desert place.
It touches my lips with psalms for mankind.
And lifts my eyes to search the heavens for his grace.
Without this well of strength I am undone.
A refuge on life’s waves tossed too and fro.
The race is lost before it has begun.
An orphan with no home, no place to go.
I close my eyes with tears; retrace that time.
When the Lord of heaven came down to the Earth.
To seek me; and cleans me of all crime.
Heavens gift of Gods love revealed through his birth.
I bring you my hearts song of love and praise.
In joyous hymns my voice to you I raise.
My Lord, My God.
