The wind breathes on the surface of the sea.
Causing its tranquility to swiftly flee.
There’s a strong stirring in what lies beneath.
Currents twist and collide beyond belief.
The surface rises and swells, foam begins to appear.
As the full brunt of the storm draws near.
Soon the waves lap at the once still shore.
As the water retreats, it seems the land reaches out for more.
The wind’s breath becomes a constant pant, motion is increased.
The sea rages as the storm’s fury is fully unleashed.
What was once rhythmic is now beating wildly out of control.
As waves crash the coastline, dramatically taking their toll.
The land and the sea push and pull in a violent duel.
Mist bursts forth, froth begins to pool.
But then the wind becomes a whisper, and the sea begins to relax.
And the land recovers from the storm’s relentless attacks.
Suddenly the sea just sparkles and the land looks born anew.
And each silently wonders when another tumultuous storm is due.
