God sent me an angel, in the form of a friend

She looks like a person - But her love never ends

She seems ordinary to others who see

But I know God sent her - His angel, to me



She always knows whether I'm hurt or in pain

And has words of wisdom to build me again

She never judges the mood that I'm in

But points to the Saviour and away from my sins.



Others don't realize the role that she plays

She helps me find peace in the hardest of days

She supplies me with answers, what she hears God say

And ever is leading, to show me His ways...



I don't know if someone can come down to earth

Pose as a person and impart to you, worth

And value inside you, that others don't see

But this, God has granted - His angel, to me



And should she be Spirit - and not flesh and bone

I know that God's with me and calls me His Own

My doubts have receded - My confidence gained

Because of God's angel, sent in His Name...



She's taught me the evidence of things I'd not seen

Thinking always of others - Fulfilling their dreams

She looks ordinary to the natural eye

But GOD dwells within her - So often I cry



For her words to me break down the walls I have built

To withstand the heaviness, sorrow and guilt

She comes in the darkness of my soul and brings

The light of Christ's Love and every good thing

She shares from God's storehouse, the treasures He gives

And ever reminds me that I am now His....



Yes, angels can often be overlooked by us all

We cannot detect them by natural means at all

They come when they're needed and go without sound

But try to remember, they're ALWAYS around



So next time you're tempted to laugh and go on

About someone not met - You never have known -

Remember God uses the foolish to confound the wise

And angels are with us, in oddest disguise



Those we'd dismiss, for whatever reason

May just be the ones God has, in His season,

Selected to help you, to truly know gain

Reject not His angels - For they come in His Name



To guide, instruct, protect and to free

To bring you out of all your miseries

To help you stand about your plights

And when in darkness, to shine their lights



So you can walk forward without fear or dread

For God knew you needed someone in your stead

And so He sent angels, to comfort in pain,

Remember He loves you - THEY COME, IN HIS NAME.....
