Escaping the grim(sy)for a moment

Grim(sy) is as grim(sy) does

A reviewer did imply

I thought about just what he said

 I offer this reply

Life will offer trials

So I dedicate this piece

To a guy who is my brother’s friend

A fellow named Maurice

Maurice, he had a lot of loot

A trophy for a wife

But he made a little error

Redirecting his whole life

He stuck the wrong appendage

Where it really should not go

Leaving him left wondering why

His bed is full of snow.

He contemplates his lawyer’s fees

His net worth surely dwindled

Concedes the shaky love fires that

Will never be rekindled

And while this story might sound sad

Consider how it started

It never would have gone this far

If the trophy hadn’t farted

And it really didn't end up bad

Their incomes finished higher

They sold their pricey story

To the National Enquirer

If this story has caused offense

I do apologize

For having too much grim(sy)

Does not make you wise

What a stink, but well refined, and funny too.
