Remember, Grandma is always right.

The faster I go

The behinder I get

My Grandma used to say

But being young

Such things far flung

From the innocence of the day

Then as I grew

With tasks to do

Along this path called living

The pace picked up

While I slowed down

A scene most unforgiving

I’m behinder

Despite my speed

 I contemplate at night

The faster I go

The behinder I get

My Grandma sure was right

I appreciate the philosophical outlook that you have shared within your verses here, Patrick. They remind me of what it was like before I took early retirement. Thank you. Love and peace to you,

Sometimes it helps to make a list of priorities when time gets tight although I know that is antithetical to the Granfors' clan.

that's because all the products we use to cut down on time actually make us busier. cell phones, text messaging, e-mails, Internet, etc. strange paradox. the price of convenience it would seem.
