My garbage disposal died this week so I had to replace it. Did I mention I hate plumbing?

Bruised up knuckles

Gooey palms

Slipping wrenches

Abusing psalms

To call the plumber

I’m too cheap

Now into food traps

I’m quite deep

That don’t line up

Nor does this

Step fourteen

How did I miss?

Back to square one

I’m forced to go

Looking for comedy?

Here’s your show

Finally hooked up

Filthy cheeks

On first test run

Damn thing leaks

Another hour

Still not done

To the yellow pages

I should have gone

plumb dumb am I
no pipe wrench mensch
your poem is wry

I hope you sealed the deal

When all else fails, plug the drain,
then try liquid plumber once again!

Anyways, I had a laugh,
so thank you for your verse.

You have just reminded me that I am doing the right thing by not trying to do these types of repairs (whatever they may be) on my own. I am fortunate to have a very good friend (actually a sibling) who is a genius with mechanical things of all sorts. Thanks for the humor, Patrick. I do hope it worked out in the end. Love and peace,

Regis

Funny but true. It would've been funnier had I seen the plumber's crack. ;-)

What could be more fun? Maybe Mud Wrestling With The Dogs, but you have to wait for a rainy Saturday afternoon for that.

you're a brave man for even trying, Patrick... and at least your resultant poetry is definitely to be chewed on and doesn't leak or smell too bad! :)) xx
