It must be Friday

Trolling the news websites this morning I stumbled upon a peculiar story that is a little hard to fathom. A Swedish woman died of starvation recently after subjecting herself to the sunlight diet. The dietís Sol source (pun intended) of nutrition consists of nothing but sunlight. It has been propagated by an Indian Guru who claims to have been on this strict diet for 70 years and there are reports of additional deaths in other European countries. Go figure

Sunrise is my favorite meal

Though it doesn’t taste like chicken

Mid morning I’ll eat a ray or two

For the pace of the day does quicken

For lunch I’ll have a full course spread

Of infrared and ultraviolet

It’s been my Guru’s plan for years

For me it’s just a pilot

For afternoon and evening

On the visible spectrum I’ll dine

Early on it tastes like oranges

Later it’s like red wine

Shadows make me hungry

Moonlight’s scarcely a snack

My dress now's down ten sizes

Folks think I’m smoking crack

Still I’m following my Guru

Eating all the sun I please

If I don’t die of starvation

I’ll expire of skin disease

I SAW THIS NEWS ARTICLE AND IT IS REALLY SAD...SO, SO SAD. WELL DONE, PATRICK. YOU HAVE SHARED WITH US THE EXISTENCE OF THIS TRAGIC 'DIET' THAT IS SPREADING ALL OVER THE WORLD! AND YOU'VE DONE IT IN SUCH A WAY THAT THE DANGER OF THIS THING IS HIGHLIGHTED IN AN UNIQUE AND COMMON SENSE WAY. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Classic ironic. I diet like that will get you cataracts, skin cancers, and the most precious of all, deep wrinkles topped off with a little melanoma. Now that's a diet to die for.

Always, you have a nice little twist to toss up against the events of a new day. Always, with a little twist of humor and always with just the right amount of mockery. NICE!!! Dick

I have heard of these diets...How sad that some people are so gullible and thus vulnerable...

She would have died anyway, are we talking about longevity, I would think there is some other particulars that weren't mentioned about this diet, maybe, she was to take a glass of water with the rays every so many minutes,,, but what do I know.
Bless ya!

Oh, yum! I've always been an early riser so, really, thinking of all the splendid breakfasts I've missed... Oh, damn! How easy it would be to shed these thirty pounds that encircle my waist and butt.

Hah! Yeah you right. When they gave out brains there were an awful lot of folks who missed that part of the creation bit.
