GOOD NEWS FOR BLUES .

(Rap)

Say brother how ya doin'

can you really tell

Are you feelin' blue

in you're lonely prison cell

Are you thinkin' of the past

and how your life is through

Well cheer up now brother

cause there's news for you

Jesus, Jesus will be your friend

if you'll open up your heart

and let Him come on in

He'll fill your heart with joy

and take away those prison blues

Cause He's done your time

and He's paid your dues

Now don't sit there and look and stare

but get to your knees & thank God in prayer

For He sent His Son to give you His victory

and everlasting life for eternity

He'll be your visit on visiting days

and answer your prayers you'll be

simply amazed

Jesus Jesus will be your friend

(I say)     now open up your heart

and let Him come on in

He'll fill your heart with joy

and take away those prison blues

Cause He's done your time

and He's paid your dues

- REPEAT CHORUS -

Very cool- this makes me think a bit of Paul Laurence Dunbar's poems depicting a certain time period so visually, as yours has done with modern times.
