Mental war
|
There is trouble inside
beating like a drum
soldierless battle
the victim almost outrun.
Overtaken by debt
hunger and pain
the fight almost gone
watches the rich
heading home from a show
hand outstreached
no mercy returns
sleeping beneath cardboard
a victim of life.
An unwritten war
mental states of mind
unable to change
in a world gone blind,
with no hearing ears
when the rights of a free man
become erased from law
he is called a vagrant
whom we want
not on our door.

I think because of the holiday here in the US there is not much traffic here in the den now. Because in reading this piece I think it is outstanding work, John.
Namaste
