Written as a response to Obama's request that the Passover meal exclude the phrase, "Next year in Jerusalem" because it was considered to be incendiary.

Next year in Jerasulem
Next year in Jerusalem, a phrase rendered
archaic by some, volatile by others,
are to me words of hope, words of redemption,
words reminding us of that New Jerusalem
to come.
I am not Jewish, but my Redeemer is.
I am not planning on moving to Jerusalem,
but my Redeemer is.
I am not seeking that which cannot be found,
or He who will not return again,
for my Redeemer is readily found
and He will, indeed,
return again.
Next year in Jerusalem, the hope
of all who believe, the reality
of all who know the redemptive
love and grace of Jesus,
the Christ.
I know my Redeemer lives.
I know my Redeemer has already begun
His journey back to Jerusalem.
I know I am ready.
I know.

Wow, what an exciting vision of what is to come--rather, The One Who is to come! A wonderful and forceful poem!

Dear Carol, I missed this beautiful poem. But there is a French expression which says, it is never late to right a wrong. Your Redeemer is my brother too and my closest friend. He is always with me. Love Emile
