Thunder

A clap of thunder lead across the sky
While the sunset bid its farewell.
The birds returned to their nests
While the animals spied the forests.
The hills erected their purple heads
As lightning stepped between a mountain.
Like an old-fashioned bonnet a rose
Forever cherished by the tree.
