Life as it is lived and loved.

*THE HOSPITAL*

She grabbed my arm and asked, "Will

You watch him while I go to the bathroom?"

A simple task and I stood in the doorway

To your room and his

Watching him, asleep against the pillows;

You, wrestling with the angel.

First it was lung cancer, she said,

Then emphysema, liver cancer,

Hepititus, it seemed the list went on and on.

And I suddenly saw us

Getting through this terrible crisis

To yet another nightmare time

Of pain, confusion, and impossible decisions.

I been through a death of 2nd hubby through emphysema, not a fun time of it did I have ever, and always will remember his illness and how he coped with it better than I did with it.
