Just One Last Time

Just One Last Time…

Misguided…Blinded…destined by fate which we cannot see,

We live our lives from day-to-day,

Hoping that our deepest dreams will some day materialize.

We come and we go so fast from this life we know.

Our dreams sometimes pass us by,

But my dream became a reality,

The day I was born to you.

We often take for granted the simple things in life which makes everyday worth living.

Never giving much thought to the materialization of the love that shows us how to define its name.

The warmth of the sun against our skin,

The cooling breeze, on a hot summer day.

The laughter of a child.

The sparkle in their eyes.

The memories that we cherish forever.

The unknown purpose, that drives our hope

The warm tender advice of our parents.

The impression that a mothers’ love leaves behind.

There is not a day that passes that you are not on my mind.

Wishing I could hear your guiding voice,

Just one last time…

Wishing to feel your warm embrace,

Just one last time…

Seeing the reflection of me in you,

Just one last time…

To offer you tokens of love on Mother’s Day,

Just one last time…

Why couldn’t you be forever?

Just one last time…

I miss you,

I love you.

Happy Mother’s Day

Just one last time…

Beautiful words in this poem and heartfelt tears as I read.
Just one last time, wouldn't that be wonderful!
