Do you remember?

The night we met and our eyes were locked peering into each other’s soul?

Do you remember?

The first time our lips touched and we became one?

Do you remember?

That I was the one you promised your heart to and now you are sharing yourself with another man?

Do you remember?

I was the one who protected you from harm, never expecting that the harm would come from you.

Do you remember?

The days and the nights when you had me…all alone…just me…and we’d explore loves’ passion just for us to see.

Do you remember?

When I spent every waking moment to love and cherish only you.

But now, I’m so tired of being here in this place hallowed out by your lies in the place we once called home. I held on as long as I could, desiring that one day your lies would turn into truth…that day never came.

It’s funny though, I’ve spent a lifetime searching for that special someone. The one person in the world who would help bring me to life. For so long, I felt as if a part of me was missing…empty. I thought that special someone was you, only in the end to feel more empty than before.

I’ve tried so hard to put the past behind me, telling myself that maybe I was the reason for all the lies you told, but the patience I had, has now grown old.

I’m dead on the inside and I fear that only God can save me from the lies you told.

You lied oh too many times, until your lies became your truth, and ultimately my undying pain that has made me feel as if I was going insane.

You didn’t care

You didn’t even blink.

Now there’s another man running his fingers through your hair.

I used to love you more than anything this world could ever give,

Which brought me to the point where I didn’t want to live.

Now I frown at the very sight of your name,

knowing that it was you to blame for all my pain.

I went through this very thing not too many months ago. It will pass. I know how trite that sounds but you will, slowly, albiet saddly starting putting the pieces together again. And you will become you once again.
