The perfect book for perfect gift-giving. Beautiful (and unsyrupy) sentiments. Beautiful art by Vicki Thomas. And about the same price as you'd pay for a nice greeting ca..

Behind these walls,

I stand alone.

Peeking through the cracks of the life I never wanted to own.

Some have the power to see within,

Never to understand the places I’ve been.

Behind these walls,

I’ve crossed the miles of my beating heart,

Putting to bed the feeling of being apart,

From the things I love, the things I desire,

In hopes not to end up in the eternal burning fire.

Behind these walls,

I feel safe and secure,

Keeping my heart protected and pure.

Behind these walls,

Your love I can not see,

This wall was not built because of you, but because of me.

I know this feeling all too well. Walls are much safer than risk. And I guess they are, but in some ways, without risk we tend to stagnate. Easier said than done I suppose. ~ Sara
