I don’t know how I got here, but I sure know where I’ve been.

Up from a past rooted in pain,

Mama always taught me to not live my life in vain.

Living by rules past down through history,
I don’t know how I’ve lasted here so long.
I know that there is good in all bad, but pain is all I’ve had.
I don’t know how I got here, but I sure know where I’ve been.
Trying to live each sunrise to the fullest,
Laying my head down each night with no regrets.
Time is all we have
A beginning and an end
But all I ever wanted from the beginning…was a friend.
I don’t know how I got here, but I sure know where I’ve been.
I’ve walked the paths of life,
But somewhere I’ve lost my way.
I’ve spoken many words, and now I have nothing left to say.

Well I have been reading your poetry and I think you DO know just what to say. The reader can identify with this pain, which you draw us into so well, and also with the lost words, and you are a wonderful writer.
Blessings always,

Heartfelt and a very outstanding write Mario, I sure can relate to every word! May the Lord heal you everywhere you hurt and bring comfort to you! Be encouraged and keep on writing and going forward, for there is one that cares and loves you in spite of. He will never leave you! The Lord is by your side!
