THE WOMEN GATHER
Black and White and sometimes Yellow,
They gather to laugh, cry, and sometimes
Stretch the truth into laughable lies.
Yes, they gather in good and the bad times,
And always in sad and grieving times.
Their knowledge of love for life and each other,
Form unbreakable bonds that years and miles,
And changes in life will never destroy.
The little women gather, while watching the large,
Imitating who they will become and what they are to say.
The little women learn the feelings that go with unsaid words.
The women will always gather forming worldwide bonds that
Defy color, culture, religion or race.
The women gather as one in mind and one in heart.
The women gather, the women gather….
May there never be a day when the women cease to gather.
