It strikes like hot fire, electric and warm

Slipping into every open crevasse gorge

Everything else becomes silent material

Unveiling the delicate design of the ethereal

It consumes me with light from the sun

As I drift through the universe undone

Grounded by one string burning my core

Showing me everything that I should be living for

In one subconscious fault, I stumble

And my foundation quickly crumbles

It falls away and I'm left alone

With only a dream of that amorous home

The static and noise swiftly returns

As the wheels begin to swivel and churn

I'm sinking in the cold, lonely depths of blue

Yearning for the embrace of that yellow hue

But he doesn't come, when I need him the most

And what once was near me ebbs from the coast

Leaving me waiting anxiously, hoping for a time

When the sea will return and bring me where the ocean meets the sky

But in his absence it's hard to remember

My vision is cloudy and my flesh wants to surrender

My body is weak and it's pulling me under

I'm going to die because of one unwilled blunder

I lift my eyes to gaze at the sea

Hoping soon I'll see him calling out to me

That he never really left me at all

He was waiting for me to follow and embrace the call

I'll sharpen my eyes and wait for that day

All I can do is hope and to pray.
