Should not we...
as God's poets
...thank Him for the trials?
For with them we gather the phrases
that offers an oasis
...turning frowns to smiles
After all...
how can one sow a hope
that they have never known...
or encourage faith that has never been sown?
Reaching deep into hidden crevices...
of dark and despairing lives
we point to the light that will help others
to press on...to strive
Through the power of the pen
...we reveal His inspirations
but, He wipes our tears and refreshes us...before
we can share His messages with the nations
What a called privilege...
to be His instrument
to be at His knees....waiting
for His intent
Through the valleys and mire...
we once did willingly trod
having no idea then...that our experiences
would one day...lift high Salvation's rod
We are attacked mightily by the enemy...
we are thrashed and thrown into rough seas
yet...we stand strong with our proclamations
dutifully planting...nurturing...His seeds
The cliche'...He's done for me...He'll do for you
is often used...because it's true and it's real
but due to its simplicity and a lack of knowledge
most...ignore our peal
Still...His words and imageries
continue to flood our minds
and we are caught up in the majestic beauty
...of His heavenly prose and rhymes
We cannot be silent!
...and for Your visits, Dear Jesus
so timely and so unique
...we thank You
For the blessing of the growth times
when we've tarried...just learning
at Your blessed feet
...we thank You
Please...Precious Lord...hear our plea
...let Your desires be
Father...use Your emplanting
to honor and glorify...Thee
This is not about...what we will
...for we are Thine
this is not at all about...us
have Your way...there is no...mine
We...love You!
We are... Your poets
