This is the 5th of 6 works by my son, who is presently incarcerated. I am submitting his work at the request of a Den Buddy who enjoyed his first submission in August so much, that she wanted to read more. Enjoy!

Loved you more than you loved yourself

but still you questioned

the depth of my Love for you.

Now that time has come between us

our worse memories

have turned into my best memories.

I told you my life is settled now

with no umbrella; just divine time, wisdom,

understanding and of course, pain.

I had found my way

and then only to wander around...lost

until your return.

But your rejection can be compared

to a 'southern bell's'

dislike for a northerner;

a perfect example

of the term 'miscommunication'.

I guess I am rewarded

with nothing, more or less,

than an extremely good

Lesson Learned.

Asa dear you have gained so much more than an extremely good lesson learned! Though painful it is and you may not see it now, but God is working out His Masterful plan for your life! Your poems have so much depth and touches the spirit within, very heartfelt Asa you hold onto your faith God is up to something. do not give up and keep on writing and sharing, and oh don't stop caring!

I assume this is your name, dear Asa. We all make mistakes in life, no one is perfect, but the difference is the severity of that mistake…and we all suffer the consequences of our wrong doings one way or another. Just hang in there; there is always light at the end of the tunnel. The important thing is if you admit and realize your wrong doing, God is always with you and he will forgive you…maybe she will too… Don’t lose your hope and keep on writing, because writing could be the best therapy for you. You write very well, it shows that you have really changed and becoming more and more wise. Hugs, Ankin

The trick is not to learn lessons, but how we apply them to our life. Wanting for a better life is the first step after the lesson.
