Asa,

Through your pain and honest writing will come a greater sense of awareness and strength to prepare you for the precious times when you will see your daughter again.

So sad. Life can be hard and cruel at times! Does Asa WRITE TO HIS DAUGHTER OR TRY TO KEEP IN TOUCH WITH HER MOTHER? Perhaps he can keep a journal of his feeings, write poems and letters to include in it. One day he'll be able to see her and be with her again.. He can show his daughter then, that he never forgot her!....M

"I CRIED" YES I cried when I read this, and then turned away, hoping not to see it again. Joyce you just would not give up, your e-mail really touched my heart and I cried again! This poem brings back memories of my sister's son her only child who was incarcerated as a teenager with a sentence of 45 years. He has a son and it seemed that they would not know each other, he had never seen his son. There is good news prayer changes things, my nephew is now free and has since been united with his son! You may cry now but your morning is coming, and yes your daughter will know and always love you. Joyce continue to stay strong in the Lord, and keep your armor on, I just love the person that you are! There is hope!

This is a very heartfelt poem, thanks for sharing!

... and at least two women grieve... THIS IS HEARTSTOPPING, JOYCE! I am so sorry for all of your combined pain and sense of tragedy. It is true that grief wields a mighty pain. This is right between the eyes and, as others have said, raw. But powerful good writing. Your son is a sensitive man. May his sense of guilt be assuaged and healed with reconciliation. Love and prayers, Kate xx
