Isn't it good to have a friend to whom you can pour out your soul to? All those little things that you just wouldn't tell anyone else...you can tell them with confidence...without fear of being chided or judged...and can always come away with some solid, good, honest advice. Really...isn't it just great...?

I remember...

that there was a misty rain

as we walked...and talked

What about...? Oh...you know...

those things that one allows...to bother them

those concerns...those balks

I reminded Him...

that many of my loved ones

have yet to accept Him...they're still unsaved

...and one of them had left home

on a path...which was confusion paved

I let Him know

I felt a little down about it...

there was this 'ache'...for this loved one

who fled...following a rift

I asked Him to help me...

help me to trust Him...more...make me stronger!

Erase my doubts... 'til there are none

I needed to be shown how to love Him...

love Him...better...deeper...to my core!

I'd failed so often...felt I need more victories won

I guess in those moments...

what I really craved...really wanted...was pampering

...and I pleaded, 'Lord, not later...but now!'

'Cause it's Your words of 'comfort' that I'm seeking...

yes...please! That's what I need from You...a Word!

An answer came so gently...like wind upon a brow...

wait!

And I had to smile... for we both knew

in this area ...I have a lot of growing to do

...A Stroll...with a Friend

Beautiful poem Joyce. I think all to often we want answers now and lose sight of patience. The Lord knew us before we were born and has everything worked out in his time. May God bless you every day of your life.

In His time ... sometimes we just haven't seen clearly that the prayers we think go unanswered are, in fact, answered and before our eyes, but perhaps not as we think they should be answered. Isn't it wonderful to stroll with a Friend and be able to share your heart and soul? A great reminder Joyce, well done, as always. Hugs, Elizabeth
