Barn yards are usually safe to walk through, but you better keep a close eye on two sets of eyes glaring in the shadows... This is base on a real live event that happened..

I told myself that this year, there would be no 'Independence Day' Inspiration because, last night I picked up pen and paper, wrote a few words then stopped, tore it up and started again and stopped again. But, as always, God had other plans. Today, after I came home from church, these words came from the Inspirer...

Just a note to let you know

I appreciate your

I am grateful God...deemed

that in this land I should be born

It could have been some other place

where 'Liberty' is trashed and torn

Many have come to your doors

and you've opened them wide

Sometimes for this you've paid  a hard price

but your 'Freedom'...still abides

I know you've been around a while

you've been battered...showing wear and tear

But I want to say,  even with your imperfections

I am so proud of you...and

Every day...

no matter what your condition or weather

I thank God for His sweet Mercy and Grace

which brought you and I...together

With much love, that will never end...

Happy Birthday, My Friend

Joyce, I have lived in Europe for over ten years now....31/2 in the UK and 61/2 in Italy....and although both places are beautiful, I can, in all honesty say, that we, as Americans are truly blessed. Beautiful writing, Joyce.
