Whiteney Houston was a 'beautiful song'...we will never forget. To all who loved her...those known and unknown...my heartfelt condolences

1963-2012

A Crystal Peacock...came

and spread her chordful wings

So fine...one of a kind...rare

...she did sing!

With the colors of her...'suite'

none other could...compete

But, now...

alas...! to timelessness belong

her call...her gift...her song!

And we pray...

tho'...she sings for us no more

there...on eternal shore

Melodies are heard...

from that Peacock...

that...so fine...rare

Crystal Bird!

Such a tragedy, so very sad. The angels voices are all the sweeter now. A beautiful tribute to Whitney, Joyce. And such a beautiful and fitting title. God bless. Hugs, Elizabeth

A beautiful lady with a beautiful voice though a troubled mind. So sad to see her gone. Nice tribute, Joyce. You've done her proud. Dick

...she did sing!

That she did, and like so many, she left too soon.

Her swansong is ever ringing in my ears today, Joyce. Yet I remember even fifteen years ago her life was seemingly wracked with pain. It seems that some souls are just never hardened enough to the steeliness of this world's ways to be able to endure the never-ending charade that is the life of showbiz. A beautiful capture indeed! xx

We in my family are immensely saddened by the tragic sudden loss of Whitney. Our prayers are with her family and friends at this time of mournful grief. We have all lost a beautiful songbird this weekend. May we all learn from her passing and stay true to the one from whom all true blessings flow. God bless you for this fine tribute poem. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Peace always for you and yours.

Like Billie Holiday, Janis Joplin, and Amy Winehouse, Whitney had a fatal flaw that fame was too hard to take. She had a voice that was incomparable and I loved her from the first time I heard her. Thanks for this beautiful tribute to a beautiful lady who touched our hearts every time she sang.

A beautiful tribute Joyce. You are a very kind soul. I loved Whitney Houston's songs as much as anyone but I was not thrilled with her personal life. Here is what she said about her personal life: "The biggest devil is me. I'm either my best friend or my worst enemy," Houston told ABC's Diane Sawyer in an infamous 2002 interview with then-husband Brown by her side. Sad but true. No one is exempt from the demonic world of drugs. Such a talented peacock but such a sad ending.

God help her and her family.
