I poem about abuse and pain

You wake with the smile on your face

You know you have whiskey to taste

As you drink you turn

No longer a man but a beast

My body is nothing but a feast

For you the drinking beast

The innocence I had is now gone

I feel you let them do me wrong

Allowing my body to be your trade

For the drinks you will drink today

If I refuse you will show

That I am nothing but an animal

Acting like this hurts you more than me

This blood on my hand is my own not yours

As my blood stains the ground you smile

Even now I think I am in denial

No boy no man can bleed this much and not die

This my final day my final time

I will dare not to cry

Holding my head up high

Just wish it didn’t hurt so much to die

I awake days later to a farmer with tears in his eyes

Untying the knots that the beast had tied

Telling I am lucky I did not die

At that moment I begin to cry

How did I survive?

I’m the child who doesn’t want to live this time

As I spin this rhyme

I’ll tell you this one time

Leave the knots

Allow me to rot

Let me go tonight

I won’t be missed

There’s not a soul to kiss Goodbye

So close your eyes and I’ll close mine

Just for this one last time
