Gift of Peace

O Sacred Heart of Jesus

When fear consumes me

I come to ask you

For the gift of peace.

Fear consumes my heart

It controls my mind

I’ve bared it with patience

My soul and body need rest.

The strength and courage

You have instilled in me

It’s but a distant memory

My loving Savior, carry me.

O Sacred Heart of Jesus

Thank you for carrying me

For John’s restored health

Thank you for my gift of peace.
